Menara Taming Sari Is Melaka’s Hottest Late-Night Attraction Right Now

Menara Taming Sari drew record crowds during Melaka Bila Larut Malam, with RM10 tickets and long queues for night views.

Menara Taming Sari owned the night during Melaka Bila Larut Malam in June. The iconic tower drew such strong crowds that visitors queued for almost an hour to grab the special RM10 ticket.

That price turned one of Melaka’s best-known attractions into an easy win for families, students, and weekend visitors. The real draw, though, was the ride itself. From the top, you get a clear aerial view of Melaka city after dark, when the lights of Banda Hilir give the historic core a fresh glow.

Crowds stayed strong all evening and grew later into the night. Organisers expected the tower to welcome more than 1,000 visitors, beating the record set during the May edition of the same late-night programme. That makes this more than a routine turnout. It confirms Menara Taming Sari as one of the city’s best night attractions.

For travellers, the message is simple. If you want Melaka beyond the usual daytime museum circuit, put this on your list. The tower works especially well for families with children, groups of friends, and anyone who wants a quick, high-impact way to see the city from above.

Around the site, local entrepreneurs also set up sales booths during the event. That added a lively street-market feel to the evening and gave visitors another reason to linger after their ride. You could pair the tower with snacks, casual shopping, and a stroll around Banda Hilir without needing a complicated plan.

If Melaka Bila Larut Malam returns with the same ticket deal, go early or expect a wait. Even with the queue, this is the kind of attraction that earns its popularity. It is fast, scenic, and easy to fit into a short trip, which is exactly why travellers keep showing up long after sunset.
