Crocodiles and Family Recreation in Ayer Keroh

Melaka Crocodile and Recreation Park, also known as Taman Buaya dan Rekreasi Melaka, is a wildlife and family attraction in Ayer Keroh. The 3.5-hectare park has operated since 1987 and houses around 100 crocodile species, alongside other exhibits and recreation facilities.

What to See

The main route includes crocodile ponds, a Reptile House, a walkthrough aviary, and Malaysia in Miniature with replica Malaysian landmarks. Families can also find a water playground, selected rides and games, and a train ride themed around Jurassic World. The mix of wildlife exhibits and family rides makes the park a substantial Ayer Keroh stop.

Live crocodile shows are listed for 11:30am and 2:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays, and public holidays. Arrive early enough to see the show and still allow time for the animal exhibits.

Tickets and Planning

MyKad adult admission starts from RM16 on weekdays and RM19 on weekends, public holidays, and school holidays. Non-MyKad adult admission starts from RM30, with separate child, senior, and OKU rates. Online tickets are also available.

The park is open daily from 9am to 6pm. The water playground closes on Mondays for maintenance while the wider park remains open. Allow around two hours for a focused visit, or longer if you add the water playground and family activities. The mix of covered exhibits and outdoor paths makes it workable in light rain, but comfortable shoes and sun protection are still useful.
