The Shore Oceanarium is an indoor marine-life attraction on Level 2 of The Shore Shopping Gallery, beside the Melaka River. It is an easy family stop when the weather is hot or wet, combining aquarium displays with interactive learning and visual experiences rather than relying only on traditional tanks.
Exhibits and Experiences
The visit includes freshwater and saltwater displays, a touch-pool experience, marine-life interpretation, 3D content, and themed areas such as River Story, Jungle Quest, and Ocean Journey. Fish, rays, sharks, starfish, sea cucumbers, and other species feature across the exhibits, while feeding activities and package inclusions vary.
The oceanarium works well for families with younger children because the route is compact and mostly indoors. Pair it with The Shore Sky Tower in the same complex for a combined marine-life and city-view stop, or use it as a rainy-day break between the riverfront and Jonker Street.
Tickets and Planning
Premium Plus admission is RM40 for adults and RM30 for children aged 3 to 12 or seniors over 60. The ticket includes single entry, a 3D package, and a souvenir item. Tickets are non-refundable and valid only on the stated date.
The oceanarium is open daily from 10:30am to 7pm. Allow around two hours, and arrive with time for the mall’s parking, lifts, and ticket counter. The Shore Shopping Gallery is close to the historic centre and can be combined with other attractions without needing a separate long-distance transfer.
