Extended Car-Free Zone Details
- Dates and Times: Monday, 8 April 2024 (1:00 AM) to Friday, 12 April 2024 (6:00 PM)
- Affected Area: The car-free zone will cover the central Banda Hilir area, likely including roads around key landmarks like St. Francis Xavier Church, Christ Church, Stadhuys, and parts of Jalan Tun Khalil Yaakob and Jalan Merdeka.
Alternative Routes
- To reach Jalan Tun Khalil Yaakob (Medan Samudera, Plaza Mahkota, Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade): Utilize Lorong Hang Jebat – Jambatan Tan Kim Seng – Jalan Tun Khalil Yaakob
- Jalan Banda Kaba, Lorong Chan Koon Cheng, and Jalan Chan Koon Cheng: Expect temporary detours with clearly marked signs.
Regular Weekend Car-Free Zones Remain
Please note that the regular 55-hour car-free zones on weekends (Friday 6:00 PM – Sunday 12:00 AM) will continue as usual throughout April.
